Wine & Design: 2026 Design Trends We Love

Welcome to Wine & Design with The Design Team! In this series, we’ll be sipping, chatting, and sharing all things home design.

As our design studio gets a fresh update, we’ve been spotting some 2026 trends that are gaining popularity. For homeowners building or designing this year, these are the colors, styles, and finishes you’ll want to consider when creating a space that’s fresh, modern, and truly your own.

Here’s a closer look at some of the top 2026 design trends we’re seeing:

Warm Wood Tones

We’re seeing warmer wood tones everywhere in homes lately! Think honey-colored floors, caramel cabinets, and rich, cozy wood accents that instantly add warmth to any space. They look amazing paired with soft neutrals, playful pops of color, or even a bold accent wall. If you’re thinking about renovating, you can even stain your own wood to achieve that perfect warm tone. Just a few touches of wood with golden, amber, or walnut hues can make any home feel stylish, cheerful, and welcoming.

We’re excited to show off our new cabinets in our newly renovated design studio, which really highlights this trend and all the beautiful warm tones we’re seeing.

Colorful Tile

Colored tile is having a major moment right now! We’ve been seeing lots of vibrant backsplashes and playful tiles flowing through our design studio. Linear and vertical tiles have been some of our favorites, especially those with saturated tones, rich variation, and a handcrafted feel.

Our new Ridings at Parkland model home is showcasing the linear tile trend in style—stop by to see how color, texture, and personality come together in real life! Please note: visits are by appointment only, so be sure to schedule your tour ahead of time.

Organic Natural Materials

Organic materials are really trending in home design! Textured tiles, warm wood-stained cabinets, and natural stone countertops—like granite—create a grounded, earthy feel that makes spaces feel cozy and inviting. Warm tones in tiles and countertops, like Upa Tupa finishes, are especially popular right now, giving kitchens and bathrooms a natural, effortless vibe.

Trim & Millwork Details

Trim really is the unsung hero of design! Adding crown molding, shadowboxing, coffered ceilings, or even detailing around cathedral ceilings can instantly give a room that rich, old-world feel. It’s kind of like putting jewelry on your outfit—the details make everything feel polished and intentional. Even just updating window trim or baseboards can add depth and character, especially when paired with darker, moody tones.

Keep an eye out for more Wine & Design inspiration from our team! We’ll be sharing fresh ideas and trends to help you create a home that’s fresh, modern, and full of personality. We’re so excited for you to see the new renovations in our design studio—we’ve worked to bring these trends to life and show how they can inspire your own space.

If you haven’t already, be sure to RSVP for our Design Studio Renovation Preview and the Ridings at Parkland Grand Opening on Saturday, January 31st to see these trends in action firsthand!
