KidsPeace 1st Annual Dodgeball Tournament

What is something that comes to mind for a “typical” workday for a New Home Builder? A dodgeball tournament probably isn’t at the top of the list. However, the Tuskes Homes family made that part of our day last Thursday- and it was more fulfilling than you may think!

Our family spent the day at the 1st Annual KidsPeace Dodgeball Tournament! As the tournament ball sponsors, you could see our logo on multi-colored dodgeballs scattered throughout the field. It didn’t take us long to run over and start practicing our throws and dodges.

Two enthusiastic teams of ours stepped into the court: The Ball-Busters and The Ultimate Warriors. Inspired by classic sportswear and Pro-Wrestling costumes, our teams were truly a sight to behold. They faced several other dedicated teams and fought gallantly throughout the day. While The Ball-Busters got knocked out in the Semi-Finals, The Ultimate Warriors dodged everyone else and made it to the top!

With as much fun as the Tuskes Homes family had, the mission for this inaugural tournament was the most important. The proceeds went to two special projects: Mo’s Closet and Coping Kits. These programs provide clothing, educational and mental health tool kits, and the essential skills to kids who lack those necessities. KidsPeace itself provides as much as it can for the over 200 kids in their care. From food and shelter to medical treatment, the organization gives kids the tools to thrive and succeed.
